[A few seconds later, Lapis will hear her phone vibrate with another text. A not so safe for work picture coming into view for Lapis to see when she does click on the thumbnail.

It's a selfie, of Alya of course. Her body sprawled onto the bed, wearing lingerie that she figured Lapis might like. Her finger, that's been dipped in some of the chocolate frosting she put in Lapis' cake for her birthday, placed slightly in her mouth. Her tongue looking, well. Suggestive, to say the least.]

I look sort of stupid, but whatever. I hope you like it!

[OH she got a text from Alya! Lapis quickly perks up when she opens it, smiling softly as she reads over the texts. Only to then blink when she says she'll give her a gift now, blinking before opening the picture.

And then quickly turning bright red - luckily in the quiet part of the library so nobody else is around to see. Stuttering for a moment, before she forces herself to text back, her cheeks burning completely.]

thank you, alya. you look amazing. better than amazing. not stupid at all. [Her brain is just completely fried now.]

i'll be home soon!

If you think that then I'll just keep this on for the time being. It's kind of comfy! [Lapis can probably feel that big grin that's on Alya's face right about now.] What're you doing? It's your birthday, so you shouldn't be going to class, or trying to study. I made a huge chocolate cake for you.

[Yep she can sense that grin, and it only makes her blush even more.]

i'm not used to anyone besides my sister doing stuff for my birthday, so i thought nothing was happening.

but i'll be home as soon as possible! [She's true to her words, as she stumbles in through the door like five minutes later.]

Well... Get used to it I guess?? This is going to be a thing every year, I hope you know that. My girlfriend will get the best of gifts. ... Actually i kind of suck at picking out gifts, so I don't think I should give myself too much credit.

But alright. I'll see you in a bit. [See, she's not sure how long Lapis will be out for, or how long she'll decide to study for! She's about ready to put the cake in the fridge to keep it from melting, up until Lapis stumbles in right on time.

Though, her stumbling gets some bit of concern! Alya already moving to Lapis, and extending her hand toward Lapis' forearm to keep her upright.] You didn't over study, did you? [LOOK AT THIS POUT] Are you okay?

[That text does chastise her a bit, and it prompts her to speed up so that she can get back to the apartment - not wanting to let her hard work go to waste!

So it's a relief when she gets there quickly, taking a moment to catch her breath as her hand extends to her forearm. Her breath hitching as she keeps her upright, ducking her head down sheepishly at her words.]

A-a bit... [SHE'S SORRY] But I'm okay... I'm sorry, Alya.

[Alya feels... slightly bad for making her rush all the way here. It's just that she knew that Lapis didn't celebrate her birthday a lot, and she was just excited to celebrate it for once! A sheepish look appearing on her own face now, shaking her head at Lapis' apology.]

Don't apologize, you're not at fault for anything. I was just excited to celebrate your birthday, is all. I hope I didn't make you rush too much. [She knows that she can come off as... Pushy, and bossy when she's excited.] I made a cake, and made some of your favorite Italian dishes. The food is in the oven, and I left the cake on the counter... Let me know when you want it served.

[For now, she focuses more on Lapis. Her hands sneaking around her body, and motioning her toward the table, where they had normally sat while they were eating.] Why are your cheeks so red?

[Lapis blinks at her words, before giving a shake of her head. Not wanting her to worry about her rushing, since she can move pretty fast in general and she doesn't mind - since it means she can be with Alya faster.

And her words soon cause her to perk up even more, excited at the thought of food and cake. Giving the other girl a soft smile as her arm wraps around her, happily leaning against her as she follows her motion.]

Thank you, Alya. [Then she blinks, ducking her head down almost sheepishly.] Oh, ah, maybe I'm just out of breath.

[She made sure to keep note on what Lapis enjoyed the most out of her cooking, and added a bit of extra love to it, to make it taste better than it already tasted. Just hoping that Lapis will like it, considering her birthday was special, and she wanted Lapis to have nothing but the best!] No need to thank me, really. Just trying to spoil my girlfriend as much as I can. One of those rare occasions that you can't fight me on it, you know?

[She sticks out her tongue for a moment. Slowly retracting it once Lapis ducks her head down. Unconsciously moving one hand toward Lapis' chin, motioning her head up to see that pretty face of hers.] I made some fresh juice, just in case you need to be hydrated from sprinting here. Have a seat, and I'll go get that for you. [Alya motions her toward the chair, pulling it out so that she can sit down.]

[Her words cause her cheek to heat up once more, fingers twisting into the fabric of her skirt as she tries not to fidget again - since she can't exactly argue with her today, it's true. And she huffs in response to how she sticks out her tongue, her cheeks heating up once more when she motions her head up.

Her heart fluttering once more, nodding at Alya's words as she follows her motion to the chair, giving her a sweet smile once more as she sits down. Feeling a bit overwhelmed from how she's spoiling her, since this hasn't really happened to her before.]

Ah... Thank you, Alya.

[Good, she's not arguing with her, and that alone makes Alya more than happy. An all too wide grin appearing on the girl's lips; motioning herself toward the fridge now to make her that cup of juice. One hand holding the cup, and moving back to Lapis, where it's place in front of her. Her hand pushing it closer to Lapis to keep her from being too shy from drinking it.]

No big deal! I like to be able to spoil you, and see you smile. You deserve it, Lapis. Happy birthday! [This is where she'd hold the girl into her bosom. Though, she doesn't want to disturb her girlfriend, and for now, she sits on the adjacent chair beside Lapis. His hand reaching out toward Lapis' free hand, and intertwining their fingers together.] What do you want to start with first? Food or cake?

[Seeing how Alya grins causes her to smile softly in response, glad to see the other girl so happy. Reaching to take the cup into her hands, her words causing a faint blush to appear along her cheeks, swallowing tightly once more as her smile brightens in response.

Now she takes a sip of her drink, her hand clinging to the other girls tightly - tilting her head for a moment as she thinks about her options.]

Hmm, let's start with food first. [Have to save dessert for last!]
